Instagram for Business

Our Instagram Business connection allows you to add @mentions and tagged content from your Instagram Business account(s). Mentions will pull in any public content that contains a mention (@handle) of your account/handle in the caption of any Instagram posts. Tagged content is similar for any posts that tag your account/handle on Instagram.

Why use mentions and tags?

Instagram has been upgrading it's API to be part of the Facebook systems. Additionally, Facebook and Instagram are increasingly concerned with privacy since their problems with Cambridge Analytica and GDPR. As a result there are some major changes due in December 2018. Some of the changes include limiting what public data all social aggregators can ingest (read more here). Getting started with Mentions and Tags and making that part of your social campaigns will ensure that you have access to all of the latest and greatest content from your audience.

How to get started?

Instagram Business operates like any other social connection on a TINT, and can be added in the CONTENT panel in the TINT Editor. Simply select the "Instagram Business" button to get started:

You will need to Connect to Instagram Business (through your Facebook login) so we can retrieve the Instagram Accounts that you manage:

Once Connected you can pick between adding your Branded Account (content posted by your Instagram account), Tagged and Mentions. You will see a drop down that shows the Instagram Accounts that you can connect.

Please note that Mentions only aggregate NEW content posted after you add the connection.
